Mufi

Mufi

Data driven platform that unifies live event management. Allowing users to harness the power of AI to create and sell an event in under 5 minutes.

Role
Co-founder & Technical Lead
Timeline
Feb 2023 - Now
Stack
AI, NextJS, Typescript, GCP, AWS

Mufi was the product of a startup pivot after years of industry experience. Originally an automated royalties platform it transformed into an events operations platform after multiple requests from industry players.

I was originally referred by a mutual acquaintance and was hired as an emergency contractor to fix the problems caused by the previous CTO and technical contractors. I managed to deliver what they needed under intense time pressure while not sacrificing quality. This work led to a job offer from Mufi as the new interim CTO.

During my time as interim CTO I proceeded to pivot the company to focus on what clients actually wanted and needed and came up with a funding plan to be able to bootstrap the company until revenue. Working alongside the Web3Foundation we were granted funding via technical grants to unlock better UX/UI in the cryptocurrency space.

I led the assembly and hiring process of a technical team of senior engineers to deliver these technical milestones. The technical team peaked at 7 engineers and during my first year as technical lead we were able to deliver on 12/14 of our milestones. We built a custodial and non custodial wallet set up that easily maps emails to wallets and enables people to pay with crypto using their email and a pin. This built the foundational layer for the rest of our vision.

After my first year at Mufi the co-founders were so impressed with my technical and leadership skills that I got promoted to co-founder and permanent CTO. Since then we have launched a full end to end product that leverages AI agents to simplify event operations and build more precise customer profiles.

We have onboarded two companies generating over 9 figures a year from their events and a handful of smaller event companies during our current open beta. Aiming to be fully live by Q4 2026.

Fetti

Fetti

A functional sprinkles company that creates nutritious savory sprinkles that actually taste good. So you don't need to sacrifice taste for health.

Role
Shopify Store Developer
Timeline
Feb 2026 - May 2026
Stack
Figma, Shopify API, Liquid

Fetti approached me with the goal of helping to build their brand identity and setting up a launch website where people could learn more about the product and purchase it. The project had various constraints such as using Shopify Liquid to enable their staff to make edits to the website without the need of having any technical knowledge.

These constraints posed a challenge because I had never worked with Liquid and I was worried it would hurt our very tight timeline until launch. That challenge turned out to be much less difficult than anticipated and I was able to deliver our agreed upon milestones in time.

This project was a personal favourite of mine because I got to explore styles and animations that are not what I usually focus on.

Accomplishments

  • Designed brand and website from product conception to launch.

After the acquihire of Moonbeans we were tasked to port over parts of the tech stack we had built and re use it for ElizaOS (formerly ai16z). During this time I worked across multiple front ends for ElizaOS to enable other product vertical such as merch sales and hackathons. I also dabbled in the UX/DX for our AI agents to enable for easier usage across the entire stack.

ElizaOS proceeded to achieve parabolic growth reaching approximately 2.3 billion USD in market cap, partnering with prominent institutions such as Stanford University, and even getting a shout out from Marc Andreessen.

Moonbeans

Moonbeans

Moonbeans is a prominent, art-driven NFT marketplace on Polkadot, supporting ERC-721 and ERC-1155 tokens. It features a native token that offers rewards, a community DAO, and allowing users to earn a share of platform fees.

Role
Co-founder and CEO
Timeline
Aug 2019 - Jan 2023
Stack
Web3, NextJS, React, Solidity, Rust

This was a passion project between friends after a few years of building in the crypto space. We planned and implemented an NFT marketplace for the launch of the Polkadot parachains to help unlock other teams in the ecosystem.

Shortly after our launch we were handling upwards of $1M USD in transaction volume monthly with continued scaling. The reliability and ease of use of our platform led to wide spread popularity and technical reputation.

Moonbeans Panas

During this period of ecosystem growth another platform came online and collected tens of millions of dollars of retail money as a yield aggregator. After a few months operating their team decided to rug (steal the funds of) everybody who had invested in their platform. As a lot of our users overlapped with theirs we mobilized quickly to build UIs to interact with their smart contracts since their UI was taken down and we successfully recovered over $2 million dollars of user funds from their platforms exploit.

This speedy white hat charity work led to major voices in the crypto space noticing us and reaching out to us to chat. These chats led to us meeting with the future buyer of Moonbeans which eventually led to our acquihire.

Ping Identity

Ping Identity

Enterprise-grade Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions that secure digital interactions for employees, customers, and partners. Protecting apps and data across hybrid and cloud environments, focusing on Zero Trust security and seamless user experiences.

Role
UI/UX Engineer
Timeline
Mar 2020 - Mar 2022
Stack
React, Figma, Gatsby, AWS, Storybook

Ping Identity hired me as a UI/UX Engineer to help the internal design and UI team to help build customer applications and advise other devs on best practices for front end development.

After my first year there the focus shifted heavily to build our own open source component library to speed up other internal teams sprints by reducing front end development time and creating a unified UI lego set for other teams to use. This UI component library was called Astro.

Astro Component Library

Astro is an open-source, themeable, and accessible React UI component library, designed to ensure consistent user experiences across all Ping products. It leverages ThemeUI for customization and uses React Spectrum hooks for accessibility, offering a flexible, composable library available via npm.

The creation and release of this library led to a company wide awards ceremony to spotlight our team internally as the team with the highest impact of the year. We managed to cut feature turn around by approximately 40%, and that is why our team received personal awards for our joint effort in this success.

By ski people for ski resorts

Paradocs was a Quebecois start up focusing on improving operational software for ski resorts. Paving the way for better tailor focused apps to service multiple parts of a ski resort. The culmination of all their work led to MtnOS which quickly gained traction across Canada and the United States.

As employee #6 at the company I was tasked with planning and building MtnOS, the company's flagship product. During my tenure there we went from concept to scale, both product wise and company wise. The company grew to over 20 employees and MtnOS serviced over 18 ski resorts and did upwards of $10 million dollars in transactional volume in the first year.

My role was planning, designing, and building our customer facing applications within MtnOS, namely the look and feel of MtnOS, the Point of Sale, the Product Catalog App, and the Access Control App.

During my time there Paradocs quickly caught the eye of competitors in the field and was bought out shortly after my departure out of Quebec.
